Position Available for Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Chef’s Palette is in search of a full-time Dishwasher/Prep Cook.

We are open for dinner only, Monday through Saturday.

 

Duties include:

~ Washing all plates, glasses & silverware with a Warewashing Machine

~ Thoroughly cleaning all pots & pans

~ Sweeping & mopping the kitchen floors

~ Emptying the trash at the end of the night

~ Sorting & restocking clean dishes

~ Keeping the dish area clean & organized

~ Light prep work in the afternoons when time allows

 

Candidate must have physical stamina & the ability to lift items up to 20 lbs. comfortably.

 

Hours: 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm Monday – Thursday

            2:00 pm to 10:30 pm Friday & Saturday

*Candidates should be available to work 3 - 4 nights per week.

*Must have reliable transportation to & from work each day.

Position Available for Host/Hostess

Chef's Palette is presently looking for a dependable and friendly individual to fill a part-time host/hostess position at our front desk. Job candidates must be available in the evenings from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at least 4 days a week, including weekends. This position requires someone with a happy, outgoing personality who will make all our guests feel welcome as they walk through the door! Job candidates should have a neat and well-groomed appearance, good manners, and professional phone etiquette.
 
Daily tasks include: greeting and seating guests, answering the phone, organizing reservations on the computer, and handling take-out orders. (Chosen candidate will be trained for all of the above.)
 
 Compensation is $8.50 to $10.00 per hour, plus whatever tips are made from take-out orders.

Candidate will be eligible for incremental raises over time and/or the possibility to train as a server if the candidate is over the age of 18 and proves to be a valuable team player!

Position Available for Server Assistant

Chef’s Palette is looking for an upbeat, positive and hard-working individual to fill a position as a

Server Assistant in our busy restaurant.

 

Duties include: delivering food to tables, bussing tables, re-setting tables, polishing silverware and glasses,

and performing other simple tasks to help maintain smooth service.

 

Candidates must have the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Server Assistant shifts start at 5:00 and end at approximately 10:00 pm, depending on business.

We are open for dinner only, Monday – Saturday.

Chosen candidate will be trained for the position and asked to work 4-5 nights per week.

 

Compensation is $8.50 - $10.00 per hour, plus tips. (Server Assistants usually make between $10 - $12 per hour).

Position Available for Expediter

Chef’s Palette Restaurant & Bar in Cary is looking for a full-time Expeditor (“Expo” person).

 

This is a very important position and involves being the “traffic cop” of the food line,

and the liaison between the kitchen and the front of the house.

 

Job duties include: ensuring all plates are prepared correctly - complete and presentable prior to leaving the kitchen; making sure each order goes to the correct table; and communicating with servers, managers and kitchen staff regarding food-related questions and issues.

 

Candidates must have a keen attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm,

clear-headed and pleasant in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Expo shifts start at 4:00 and end between 9:00 - 9:30, depending on business.

Chosen candidate will be asked to work 4-5 nights per week.

 

Compensation is $8.50 - $10.00 per hour, plus tips. (Expo usually makes between $11 - $13 per hour).

Candidate will be trained for the position and must eventually possess thorough knowledge of our menu.
