Jeanine Romeo is a talented local artist who specializes in Wall and Ceiling Murals, Faux Finishes, Sidewalk Art, Hand-painted Furniture, Children’s Rooms, Traditional Framed Artwork, Logos and Lettering, and Color Consultations for both homes and businesses.

Jeanine has created one-of-a-kind decorative masterpieces in residential spaces such as bedrooms, living rooms, garages, kitchens, bathrooms, nurseries, playrooms, and hallways. She has also beautified many local commercial spaces such as corporate offices, hair salons, retail stores, restaurants, hotels, doctors’ offices, schools and churches.

Jeanine has been working full-time as an artist for the last 30 years and has a thriving business based in Cary, NC. Jeanine is proud to say that she can turn any exterior or interior into a work of art. If her client can imagine it, she can paint it!  Jeanine loves what she does. "Every job is different," she says, "which is great, because I never get bored. I am very lucky to be able to use my gift as a tool for my career path in life."

Jeanine’s work can be seen all over the Triangle, including Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, Fuquay-Varina, and Clayton.

During the month of June, Jeanine will be displaying a special collection of her paintings on the gallery wall in our dining room. The inspiration for all of these pieces comes from the popular book Eat, Pray, Love, which was made into a movie of the same title. The story is about one woman’s quest for self-discovery and how she finds peace and balance in a chaotic world.

Jeanine believes that everyone can relate to the main character’s need to experience something pleasurable to make life worth living, whether it be spiritual, sensual, or gastronomical. Jeanine says, “We all need something to look forward to that counteracts the stress of everyday life: a delicious meal, a hug from a child, reading in a garden, or spending time with friends. We all want to discover what makes us happy and creates a path to fulfillment.”

Jeanine hopes that the paintings in her new installation at Chef’s Palette reflect this ideology. They feature gardens with statues of angels and elements of nature. For this series, Jeanine chose what she considers to be beautiful ethereal color palettes and images that create a sense of tranquility, one of life's profound yet simple pleasures
